Halal Meat Project

At Dar al-Ihsan Islamic Center, we strive to meet the many diverse  needs of our local and global Ummah. AlHamdulillah, the Muslim community  in Victoria is growing exponentially each year – and with that comes  the growing needs of the many families who live here. One of those  urgent needs is access to good, healthy food; specifically, halal meat.  Many Muslim families in Victoria are struggling to have enough food to  eat on a regular basis, and it is our obligation as Muslims to ensure  that we fulfill the rights of our fellow Muslims in every way.

             Thus, Dar al-Ihsan is raising money to purchase halal meat and  have it distributed to Muslims in need via a local food bank, on a  monthly basis. We are seeking to use $350 a month to provide halal meat  consistently, and encourage recurring donations, even if a small  amount!

{And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive,

[Saying], "We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude.

Indeed, We fear from our Lord a Day austere and distressful."

So Allah will protect them from the evil of that Day and give them radiance and happiness…}
 (Surah al-Insaan, v. 8-11)

            Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while the neighbor to his side goes hungry.”

May Allah make all those who donate to this fund amongst those who are protected on the Day of Judgement, ameen!
